Hugo

Hugo was rescued from a MA Animal Control facility. The animal control officer fell in love with him and knew she needed to find him a safe place. Hugo is now in a foster home living with his foster Dad. He is both house and crate trained. Is learning (and very quickly I might add) to walk nicely on leash, heals and sits when his foster Dad stops. Hugo would not make a good guard dog. He could care less about any stranger who enters his foster home. Does not even bark! Hugo is a laid back boy and thrives on praise and love. He has recently met with a trainer to help with his leash walking skills and appropriate play with other dogs. Hugo is dog friendly…just needs to learn a few manners in the social skills department. As I watched Hugo work with this particular trainer, I couldn't’t believe my eyes! He listened so well and in about 30 minutes was able to react appropriately to a doggie friend. Once this beautiful, gentle giant has found his loving home, Terry, the trainer, would like to work with him on a full training basis at no cost to the family. Hugo is the kind of dog that really likes to work. He was so pleased with himself that he was a good boy…he just wants to do good for his two legged parents! Hugo needs a family that will be willing to give him the time and take him to training…you’ll love Terry and the group. And after some exercise, Hugo will just want to curl up and cuddle with you…a way to say thanks for saving me! He really is a love! Please give this boy a chance, he needs a forever home.

Dear Pittie Love,

It has been about 1 year since Kano joined our family from Pittie Love Rescue. He has warmed our hearts and our lives so very much! He is the ultimate cuddler and his pittie wiggle and hugs are always welcome!

I know a lot of you knew Lenny when we had him living with us. You probably saw the bags under our eyes, the stress in our voice, and the compassion that we felt for him. This brave guy had nothing but love to give and we wanted nothing more than to give him the same love back that he deserved so much. A lot of people have heard about Lenny's story and this wonderful guy has made such an impact on us and fellow animal supporters. Losing Lenny was the most difficult and emotionally draining situation we have ever gone through in our lives and ShelterMe/PittieLove Rescue has done a tribute to him that we wanted to share with you so that everyone can see how wonderful he was and share his legacy of being such a great and gentle ambassador for his breed...
