Graduate of Framingham State College with a degree in Sociology. Works
full time in the Insurance field and full time in rescue. Mom to Yogi,
a 10 year old rescued GSD/Greyhound mix, Poncho a 6 year old rescued
American Pit Bull Terrier, Rosie a 5 old rescued American Pit Bull
Terrier, and Dakota, an 13 year old rescued cat.
I grew up with a wonderful family who love animals.
Our house was always full of many rescued cats and dogs and I knew from a
very young age the severe problem that our society faces with homeless
animals.
I adopted my first Pit Bull mix 20 years ago. I lost her to cancer at age
13. I began volunteering and rescuing years ago as a volunteer with
Baypath Humane Society and Pit Bull Rescue Central.
We then began our own Pit Bull rescue.
My Pit Bull Poncho was found by me at 8 months of age. He was tied to a 3
ft lead in the middle of winter. He was emaciated and freezing from the
cold.
My Pit Bull Rosie was a foster of mine. She was rescued from CACC in
Brooklyn NY. She, her Mom and siblings were found on the street of NYC.
Rosie is my only foster failure thus far! I have since fostered many,
many dogs and pups for our rescue. I can honestly say that that doing
rescue work is my calling in life.
There is nothing like the joy you feel after saving an animal's life and
seeing it placed into a wonderful, loving forever home.
