Our little Manny – it’s hard to find a place to begin.  His story as we know it starts on the doorstep of a stranger kind enough to bring him for help. He weighed in at 2 lbs and was full of worms.  Sixteen weeks later, he is nearly 26lbs and just graduated from doggie kindergarten, where he was hands-down the smartest pup there!! We were looking for a puppy to keep our 4yr old female pit bull Cali (also rescued) company, and had been to see a different litter of puppies less than a week before we met Manny.  A friend sent us a link to the PittieLove Rescue website, exclaiming that he was in love with a puppy named “Pop”.  We decided that we needed to further investigate this little guy.  When we arrived at Noreen’s home, both a little nervous, we were overcome with feelings for Pop the moment we laid eyes on him.  Noreen let us take him for a quick jaunt down to the park to play and it was at that moment we knew that he had to be ours!  He came home with us the following weekend.  It took a few days, but we finally decided that the name Manny fit him perfectly. Since that day, Manny has become an integral part of our family.  Cali’s maternal instinct took over (she was a mommy before we rescued her) and she instantly began taking Manny under her wing and showing him “proper” doggie etiquette.  Manny loves attempting to make friends with our cats when he isn’t wrestling with Cali in our living room.  He has mastered getting up on the couch on his own, and just last week actually jumped up onto our bed! He loves his Kong, snuggling, and munching on just about anything he can find outside. He has been a fantastic addition to our family and we can’t imagine our lives without his “whole body wiggle” style of happiness and all of the cute little grunty noises he makes when doing just about anything, from playing to sleeping contently in his bed next to Cali in our room. Thank you Noreen, Corinne, Mary, and all at PittieLove Rescue for saving this little guy! You are a wonderful group of people and you should be proud of what you do.

Love, Michelle & Jack
