Noreen, First of all you should know that I hold you in a very special place in my heart. If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have had the best 2 years of my life with my bud Babar. He will actually be 3 yrs old in Feb. He is the absolute center of my life along with his sister Lexie, also a rescue, (formally Trixie). He came to you near death... parvo, pneumonia, and abandoned in a city pound. You were the driving force behind getting donations to help save his life. Even though he had a very low chance of survival, you were not putting this pup down. He came so far and so deserved so much more than he had in his short little life. When you brought him to visit us at our home in Southboro, I knew that he was destined to be my life long companion. He has grown into an ambassador for the pit bull breed. He is truly the epitome of what we all know the Bullies to be. He is gentle, loving and gives the best "bullie baths" you can imagine. I take him everywhere with me. At dog walks he plays with every dog I let him get near. He loves to roll over and let the little dogs climb all over him. We spent 10 wks being trained by a wonderful woman, Paige Smith, who now requests Barrie to help in socializing other pit bull rescues. We are working with a Worcester Animal Rescue female pit now, Stella. Barrie and I go out to see her once a week and Barrie is her role model. She barks and yells and Barrie just does a down stay until she calms down. Then they play together (like pit bulls play) until they are both tired out. I have retired from the working world so that I can spend full time with my pitties. I don't want to miss one minute of being with them. We walk 3 miles every morning, Lexie and Barrie with their back packs. They get home, take a quick nap and they are off again ready to play. By 7PM Barrie heads to his crate and he is in for the night. Thank you so much Noreen. What would I do without him? I hope he lives to be a 100....... I have attached lots of pics. He is a beautiful red nosed Bullie. I love him to death. Forever Grateful, Joe Sr., Babar and Lexie
